The 4th Cairo Investment Forum

The 4th Cairo Investment Forum will be held under the patronage of H.E Mohamed Husni Mubarak, President of the Republic of Egypt at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo on the 14th and 15th of December 2009.

The Forum will be attended by government ministers and high-level officials from Egypt and the Arab world, in addition to regional and international banking, investment and business leaders.

This year’s Forum organized by the Ministry of Investment, the General Authority of Investment (GAFI) and Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group, acquires added significance in light of the development of the international economic crisis and its negative impact on the Arab countries. Yet, the Egyptian economy has maintained its ongoing process of economic reform, ranking only recently amongst the top ten in the world in terms of economic reform policies.

The 4th Cairo Investment Forum will focus on the following topics:

  • Arab economy after the world crisis
  • Investing in small and medium-sized enterprises (MSEs)
  • Investing in Infrastructure projects
  • The outlook for the energy sector
  • Investing in leading sectors of the economy
  • The banking industry and the reform agenda
  • Tourism and investment in real estate
