The Gulf Excellence Forum is an economic event, which is held at random in different Gulf region cities, it aims to consolidate the economic approach between business entrepreneurs in this fast developing region.
The Gulf Excellence Consultancy Company organizes the Forum under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Crown Prince of the State of Qatar, and has selected Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group, the leader in event management and publishing in the region, to market and manage the event.
Many Gulf corporations are increasingly facing challenges with regards to quality, cost and the marketplace. Most Gulf business leaders believe these challenges will only intensify and become more complex in the future. Some Gulf regional corporations have faced many similar challenges in their performance improvement efforts, to become competitive and establish a leading position in a global economy.
The Forum has taken the “Cidra? tree, mentioned in the Qur’an, as a symbol of growth and development. The Forum will showcase successful Gulf businesses and illustrate their rich experiences through the Gulf Excellence Award Program and will introduce best practice standards. Finally, the Forum will also aim at promoting the spirit of inquiry and learning in order to encourage development. The Forum will hold two workshops on May 1st covering “Productivity – with special relevance to GCC and “International Trade – with special relevance to GCC.The Forum has enjoyed the sponsorship and support of some of the largest and most successful Gulf companies and several Gulf and international business entrepreneurs also participated as speakers.
The mission of the Gulf Excellence Award Program is to promote world-class organizational practices by identifying and disseminating information about them. Following this method, the Forum will recognize the outstanding accomplishments of Gulf corporations in their pursuit of performance excellence.
