Under the patronage of H.E. President Zein El Abidine Ben Ali, The Tunisia Economic Forum was launched on November 9th, 2007 at Karthago Le Palace, Les Côtes de Carthage, with the presence of H.E. Mohamed Al Ghannoushi, Prime Minister of Tunis, and over 800 participants.

The Forum hosted 7 panel discussions that focused on:

• Tunisia’s economic prospects and the “Tomorrow’s Tunisia” program.
• The developing investment environment in light of recent reforms, regulations, incentives and international agreements.
• Prospects and investment opportunities on the Tunisian stock market and the alternative market.
• Investment opportunities in the privatization program.
• Business and Investment opportunities in :
  • Mega-projects in the infrastructure
  • Export-oriented projects
  • Banks and insurance
  • Tourism and services
  • Telecommunications and IT

The Forum was concluded by an open discussion with the Prime Minister of Tunis, H.E. Mohamed Al Ghannoushi, who answered the participants’ major questions related to investment opportunities in various sectors, currency liberation, reforms, stock exchange, oil & gas, Real Estate ownership, Islamic Exchange and Tunisia’s leading role in reinforcing the North African Union.
