The 2nd Tunisian Economic Forum

The Tunisian economy has achieved a new level of growth rate of 6.6%, exceeding the set target in the development plan (6%) and the expectations of the Tunisian Central Bank (6.25%). With the aim of entering the world economy, Tunis has reaped the benefits of consistent economic reformation, which is further strengthened by a notably safe and stable investment climate that is highly flexible in investment laws and regulations.

In effect, Tunis is enjoying an abundance of Arabic investments in the North African region, with investments reaching $40 billion over the past two years, in addition to a number of huge projects which are currently underway in Tunis and its suburbs.

Moreover, Tunisia is witnessing a growing interest in its capital markets, as several Arab and GCC countries have recently established new investment funds.

In order to shed light on these developments and to put forward the large number of investment and business opportunities in Tunis, The Ministry of Development & International Cooperation is organizing The 2nd Tunisian Economic Forum in cooperation with Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group and the Tunisian Union for Industry, Trade and Handicrafts, on 14- 15 November 2008, at Karthago Le Palace, Les côtes de Carthage, Tunisia.

The forum will highlight topics that are directly related to investment and business opportunities in Tunis, as well as focus on relevant case studies, and will be honoring prominent figures with key roles in the Tunisian investment undertakings.
